BIC Plzeň (www.bic.cz)

BIC Plzeň (Business Innovation Centre) was founded in 1992 on the initiative of the City of Plzeň. Its aim was to create tools for the support and development of small and medium-sized businesses in the Plzeň region. BIC Plzeň focuses on cooperation with prospective entities which are seeking to introduce new services, products and technologies. BIC Plzeň also supports companies introducing innovation or in their technical development, and aids the commercialisation of research. It has been a partner of the Plzeň Science and Technology Park since the very start of the project, and helped it considerably with its grant application in 2005.

ZČU (www.zcu.cz)

The University of West Bohemia is the only tertiary education institution in the Plzeň region to offer a broad range of bachelor's, master's and doctoral study programmes in the fields of engineering, electrical engineering, teaching, economics, information technology, applied mechanics, mathematics and physics, philosophy, social and cultural anthropology, archaeology, foreign languages, law and public administration. Founded on 28 September 1991 on the basis of Law 314/1991 Coll., the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň now has seven faculties and two institutes of higher education. It has been a partner of the Science and Technology Park since the start, and university employees were involved in drawing up the park's grant application.

Škoda výzkum (skodavyzkum.cz)

The creation of the Škoda company's research institute dates back to 1907, when modern chemical, metallographic and mechanical laboratories were built in order to provide the Škoda metallurgical works and arms factory with high-quality research. It is currently owned by the Institute for Nuclear Research Řež, a. s. The Plzeň Science and Technology Park signed a collaboration agreement with Škoda Research on 23 May.
